Galenda

Galenda was first mentioned as "small piece of land with houses" in the 11th century in a document, which was retained in the archive of the 1.000 year old abbey of Colitibuono.

In the 14th century Galenda had gained so much significance that it was granted its own little church.

18th century. As of this time Galenda seems to be in the hands of Family Sanpoli, settled farmers, who call this village their home to this day.

In 2005 Galenda was elaborately restored. Maintaining the original alignment of the village it was complemented by additional houses built in the same architectural style.

The three holiday flats "lippi", "mantegna" and "bellini" are being developed in the historical part of Galenda.
